WEEE Directive regulates take back of electronic and electrical equipment
The EU-Directive 2002/96/EC (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment/WEEE) rules take back and recycling of used electronic and electrical equipment. Manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment or their trading partners must follow the national take-back laws and provisions for the limitation of dangerous substances contained in these appliances (Restriction of Hazardous Substances, RoHS) in all EU countries in which they sell their products.
