K&L Services for REACH Art. 33

According to REACH Article 33 manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers are obliged to inform the recipients of their products about the presence of so called candidate substances. Candidate substances are those substances which are supposed to be dangerous according to the estimation of the European Union because they might be carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction. REACH Article 33 requires that information is provided unrequested to commercial recipients. Consumers have the right to be informed on request within 45 days.

K&L Services for REACH Article 33

Manufacturers as well as wholesalers and retailers who are not manufacturing all components of a product have to gather the required information from their suppliers. This information gathering is very time-consuming. Therefore, K&L helps them to comply with REACH Article 33 by a modular service package, consisting of three main elements:

- Gathering information from suppliers

- Evaluation and verification of the information presented by suppliers

- Preparing valid information about candidate substances for informing recipients of the product and for answering a consumer request
